1st day : Arrival to Tangier – Chefchaouen

In the first day of your 5 days in North Morocco tour. We pick you up from your accommodation, the airport or the port in Tangier. Also known as “the bride of the north”. The city is located northwest where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean off Cape Spartel. Firstly, we will explore the beautiful city, the cave of Hercules and also the Cape Spartel. Free time for lunch. Then we drive inland to Chefchaouen by passing through the city of Tetouan and the Rif mountains. Stops will be made for panoramic views. Overnight stay in a hotel in Chefchaouen.


2nd day : Sightseeing Chefchaouen “the blue city”

After breakfast, we will explore Chefchaouen the blue city. Also known as Achaoun, which means horns in Berber. The city is located in the Rif mountains northwest Morocco. It is famous for its buildings and alleyways painted in blue and white. We will stroll in its charming old Medina, which has so many beautiful authentic blue doors, that will make your pictures more stylish. Then you will have a free time for lunch. After that you can hike to the Spanish mosque, located on a high ground. Where you can see the spectacular view of the whole blue city. Finally, return to the hotel.


3rd day : Chefchaouen – the Roman ruins of  Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

After breakfast, feel free to wander in the beautiful alleyways of the blue city Chefchaouen. Then we drive to visit the ancient Roman ruins Volubilis. It is well preserved, as it is recognized as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. It has many beautiful mosaics scattered here and there, along with beautiful ancient pillars and archways. After strolling in the ruins, we drive 30 km to visit one of the imperial cities, Meknes the Ismaili capital. In which we visit Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal stables, the granary and also the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Then we head to Fes. Overnight stay in a riad


4th day : guided tour sightseeing Fes

We pick you from your accommodation in Fes after breakfast, to explore the city of Fes. The city is considered one of the imperial cities, besides being the cultural and religious center of Morocco.

We start the day by visiting the Royal Palace gate. Then the well preserved medieval Medina, that is listed as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. The Blue gate or Bab Boujloud is the entrance of the old Medina. You will enter the Medina with a local guide. To visit The Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine fountain, the Tanneries and finally the Quaraouin mosque and university – The oldest university in the world. After that we leave the Medina to visit the Jewish quarter “the Mellah”. Finally, we drive to an ancient fortress, for panoramic views of the Medina and the city of Fes. Then return to your riad.


5 day : Fes – Rabat – Casablanca

In the last day of your 5 days in Northern Morocco, we leave Fes after breakfast. Then drive to Rabat one of the imperial cities in Morocco, and the current capital. It is located on the northwest of Morocco. You will visit the Highlights of the city, including : the Hassan tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and also The Kasbah of Oudaya. Free time for lunch, then we head to Casablanca the economical center of Morocco. Depending on your flight time. We might visit the Hassan II mosque the largest mosque in Morocco. Day 1Marrakech

Greeting at the airport and transfer to hotel. Dinner and night.

Day 2MARRAKECH – OUARZAZATE – SKOURA – TINGHIR (373 km)

After breakfast, departure for Ouarzazate through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass (2260m). Lunch at the Aït Benhaddou Kasbah. We continue on the road of the Kasbahs via Skoura and Kal‚at M’gouna. Arrival in Tinghir. Dinner and night at the Kenzi Saghro 4*or similar.

Day 3TINGHIR (3 hours walk)

Our morning drive takes us from Swiss lakes to Swiss Army. At the once-secret Swiss army bunker at Fortress Fürigen, we’ll see part of the massive defense system designed to keep Switzerland strong and neutral. Afterward, a short drive into the countryside brings us to the charming Alpine village of Engelberg, our picturesque home for the next two days. We’ll settle into our lodge then head out for an orientation walk. Our stroll through the village will end at the Engelberg Abbey, a Benedictine monastery with its own cheese-making operation. You’ll have free time to wander back before dinner together. Sleep in Engelberg (2 nights). Bus: 1 hr. Walking: light.

Day 4GORGES DU DADES (53 km – 4 hours walk)

After breakfast, visit to the Dades Gorges. Lunch, then trek of about 4 hrs in the valley of the Targht. Return to hostel Aït Oudinar, dinner and night.

Day 5DADES – OUARZAZATE – MARRAKECH (320 km)

After breakfast, trek of about 2 hrs in the valley of the Pink Laurels. Departure for Ouarzazate via Skoura. Lunch at Aït Benhaddou Kasbah and we continue to Marrakech, across the High Atlas through the Tizi-n- Tichka pass. Arrival in Marrakech. Dinner and night in Tichka Salam 4* or similar.

Day 6MARRAKECH

After breakfast, visit to Marrakech. Lunch. Stroll in the souks and Djemaa el Fna Square. Moroccan evening. Night in hotel.

4th day : Marrakech – High Atlas mountains – Telouat Kasbah – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, we pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech early morning. Then drive through the fascinating High Atlas mountains, and Tizi-N-Tichka pass. Stops will be made for panoramic views of the breathtaking landscapes. Then we visit the Kasbah of Telouat.

After that we continue to visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. A fortified village recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Furthermore, the Kasbah has appeared in many movies including : Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy…etc. And also TV series including Game Of Thrones. Then we head to “The gate of the desert” Ouarzazate. 5th day : Ouarzazate – Skoura (Kasbah Amridil) – Rose valley – Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud -Merzouga Sahara – overnight in a luxury camp

After breakfast, we visit the Atlas Studio where famous movies were shot. And also visit Taourirt Kasbah in Ourzazate. Then drive southeast to visit Amridil Kasbah surrounded by palm groves in Skoura. Then continue to Rose valley. A Rose Festival is held annually in May, where the locals offer their rose produc. Then we drive through the Dades valley, we stop to enjoy the spectacular landscape of Dades gorges. Then we continue to Todra Gorges, the course of Todra river has carved out a grand red cliff-sided canyon through the mountains. Free time for lunch. Feel free to wander in the gorges and appreciate the beauty of the landscape.

In the afternoon we reach the Sahara desert of Merzouga. Where you switch to camels and cross the sandy desert. A stop will be made for you to enjoy the magical sunset on top of a high dune. Then continue to the desert camp. Where you can enjoy the Berber drums music while dancing around the campfire, under vast open sky of stars. Dinner and overnight in the camp.


6th day : Explore Merzouga region – Nomads – Khamlia – Merzouga lake – Erg Chebbi – palm grove

Wake up early in the morning is a must do, in order to contemplate the beautiful sunrise, in the middle of the desert. Free time for breakfast. Then you return on camels to Merzouga, where the driver awaits. We dedicate the day to explore the region of Merzouga. The area has so many incredible sites, from sand dunes, wild lake, mines, fossils areas to fabulous oases. Which are ideal places for so many outdoor activities.

Firstly, we start our journey in Merzouga, by driving off-road to visit an ancient eyeliner mine. Then we pay the nomads a visit, in their handmade woven tent. Learn how they live while drinking a Berber tea. Our next destination is the Khamlia village, where you will enjoy the Gnaoua music, and dancing performances. Its inhabitants are originating from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan and Niger. Free time for lunch in a restaurant. After that we take a stroll in a palm trees grove. Then drive a few kilometres to see the wild lake of Merzouga, also called flamingos lake. Dinner and overnight In a hotel.


7th day: Merzouga Dunes – Erfoud – Midelt – cedars forest – Ifrane – Fes

After breakfast, we leave the desert to visit Rissani town, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani still a major trading center in the region, with a large lively souk. After a stroll in Rissani souk, we continue to Erfoud where we visit one of the workshops of fossilized marble

After that we drive along the Ziz river, we stop for a panoramic view of the valley. Free time for lunch in Midelt. Then we continue to cedars forest, where the Barbary Macaques live. Feel free to feed them while wandering in the forest. After that we visit Ifrane, famous for its low temperature, snow and the alpine-style houses. No wonder it is called the Switzerland of Morocco. Finally, we drop you off at your accommodation in Fes.


8th day : Guided Tour Sightseeing Fes

Day 7: Marrakech
