Day 1 :
Casablanca to Chefchaouen
Leave Casablanca and visit the iconic Hassan II Mosque, one of the world’s largest mosques, known for its stunning architecture and location by the Atlantic Ocean. Spend some time exploring this architectural masterpiece before continuing your trip to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. In Rabat, visit historic sites such as the Hassan Tower and stroll through the charming streets of the Kasbah Oudaya. After exploring Rabat, head towards Chefchaouen, a journey of approximately 4-5 hours. Arrive at Chefchaouen at night and settle into your accommodation.
Day 2 :
Chefchaouen To Fes
After breakfast, after breakfast, spend the morning exploring the captivating blue streets of the Blue City, capturing memorable photos and soaking in its unique atmosphere. Visit the fortress, Uta Hammam square and the lively medina before starting your trip to Fez.
The panoramic trip to Fez will take approximately 5 hours, including sightseeing stops and breaks. On the way, you will visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis, inhabited from the Neolithic and later by the Carthaginians and Romans. Explore historic monuments such as the Orpheus House and the House of Dionysius with a local guide. Then continue your trip to Fez by straight car, arriving at night. Spend the night in a riad inside the ancient Medina.
Day 3 :
Historical and cultural tour of Fez with a local guide
After breakfast, your guide will meet you at your riad and begin your tour of the oldest Imperial City in Morocco. A charming blend of history, culture and architecture awaits you in Fez. Begin your exploration in the ancient medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site where narrow alleys lead to bustling souks, ornate mosques and hidden courtyards.
Visit the Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque and University, a symbol of Islamic scholarship dating back to the 9th century, which offers a glimpse of the city’s rich artistic heritage.
For a sensory experience, visit the Chouara tannery, where vibrant tones of leather tint create a stunning panorama against the city skyline. While the Royal Palace remains closed to the public, its majestic doors and elaborate facades provide a glimpse of Morocco’s regal past
Day 4 :
Fez - Ifran - Azrou - Midelt - Errachidia - Erfoud - Merzouga
After breakfast, we depart from Fez towards the Sahara Merzouga desert, passing through the picturesque cedar forests of the Middle Atlas mountains, with stops in Ifran and Azrou. In Midelt, we will pause for lunch before continuing our journey.
As we cross the landscape, we will cross the river Ziz and pass through countless palm trees and fortified kasbahs towards Erfoud, finally reaching Merzouga and Erg Chebbi. Here, you will spend the night in a hotel located next to the dunes, offering a unique and serene experience in the desert.
Day 5 :
Merzouga - Tinjdad - Tinghir Oasis - Todgha Gorge - Dades Gorge
Before sunrise, our camel guide will wake you up for an early start, taking us back when the sun rises on the horizon. We will pause along the route to savor the sunrise. Upon arrival at the hotel, our trip proceeds to visit the fossilized marble factory of Arfoud before heading to Touroug to explore the ancient underground irrigation systems.
The adventure advances to the Todra gorges, famous for their imposing vertical walls, a refuge for climbers. After a short walk to admire the impressive gorge, we venture into the Dades Valley through Boumalne, stopping to take picturesque snapshots along the way.
Day 6 :
Dades Gorge - Rose Valley - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech
Say goodbye to the Dades Gorges after breakfast, and we will continue our journey through the Rose Valley to Kalaa Mgouna, where you will have the opportunity to visit one of the Rose cooperatives and learn about how the locals prepare perfumed rosasperfumes based on distilled rose water.
We will continue towards Ouarzazate through the oasis of Skoura, which is famous for its palm trees. Then we will stop for lunch at Ait Ben Haddou, before visiting the kasbah which is UNESCO World Heritage - this is used as a place for many Hollywood films and for fashion and commercial filming. In the afternoon, our road trip will continue through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n Tichka pass, passing through many Berber villages with houses made of stone and mud. You will immediately notice that the way of life of the locals here has not changed for centuries! We will arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon.
