Plan for a 7-day tour in Morocco departing from Fes. You will see so many wonderful locations in these seven days and six nights. include the Ismaili capital of Meknes, the Volubilis Roman remains, and the quaint blue city of Chefchaouen. Together with seeing the main attractions in Rabat, the capital, Casablanca, and Marrakech. Additionally, take in the breathtaking views of the High Atlas mountains. After that, go to the Todra Gorges, the Ouarzazate City Studios, and the Kasbah of Ait-Ben-Haddou.
You will also travel to Merzouga, which is in the Sahara desert. where you can spend the night in a camp in the middle of the desert and ride camels. After that, you'll go to the Switzerland of Morocco, Ifrane, and see the Barbary macaque in the cedar forest. In Fes, the tour comes to a close.
1st day : Fes – Meknes – Volubilis ruins – Chefchaouen
The 7 days tour starts with an early pick up from the airport or your accommodation in Fes. Then we depart to visit Meknes the Ismaili capital and one of the imperial cities. In which we visit : Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal stables, the granary and also the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Free time for lunch. Next we drive 30 km away from Meknes to visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. It is well preserved, as it is recognized as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. It has many beautiful mosaics scattered here and there, along with ancient pillars and archways.
After strolling in the ruins, we head north through Ouazzane, to reach Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains. Also known as the Blue city. The city is famous for its buildings and alleyways painted in blue. Overnight stay in a hotel.
2nd day : Chefchaouen – Rabat the capital
After breakfast, feel free to wander in the blue city. Then we drive to Rabat through the Rif mountains. The city of Rabat is one of the imperial cities in Morocco, and the current capital. It is located in northwest Morocco on the Atlantic coast. You will visit the Highlights of the city. Including : the Hassan tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and The Kasbah of Oudaya. Overnight stay in a hotel.
3rd day : Rabat – Casablanca – Marrakech
After breakfast, we depart from Rabat and drive along the coastline to Casablanca. The city is the economical center and the largest city in Morocco. Firstly, we will visit Hassan II mosque the second largest mosque in the continent. Then we visit the Casablanca Cornish. Finally, we drive inland to Marrakech the red city and one of the imperial cities. Feel free to wander in the famous Jemaa El-Fna square. Overnight stay in a hotel or Riad.
4th day : Guided tour sightseeing Marrakech
After a warm breakfast, we will be exploring the Highlights of Marrakech with a local guide. The visit includes : the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, the Ben Youssef Quranic mosque. And also stroll in the largest traditional souk in Morocco. Free time for lunch near the Jemaa El-Fna square. Later on, you visit the Koutoubia mosque the largest in Marrakech, and also the Majorelle garden. Finally, transfer to your accommodation. Feel free to wander in Jemaa El-Fna on your own.
5th day : Marrakech – High Atlas mountains- Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate
We pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech early morning. Then drive through the fascinating High Atlas mountains, and Tizi-N-Tichka pass. Thereafter, we continue to visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. A fortified village recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Furthermore, the Kasbah has appeared in many movies including : Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy…etc. And TV series including Game Of Thrones. Lunch in a local restaurant in the area. Then we head to “The gate of the desert” Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight in Ouarzazate .
6th day : Ouarzazate- Rose valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud -Merzouga Sahara – overnight in a luxury camp
After breakfast, we pick you up to visit one of the studios where various movies were shot. Then continue to Rose valley. A Rose Festival is held annually in May, where the locals offer their rose products. After that we visit Todra Gorges, the course of Todra river has carved out a high red cliff-sided canyon through the mountains. Feel free to wander in the gorges and appreciate the beauty of the landscape.
Then we continue our way through Touroug, Tinjdad and Erfoud town. After that we reach the Sahara desert of Merzouga. You will switch to camels to cross the sandy desert. After that a stop will be made for you on top of a high dune to enjoy the sunset. Then continue to the camp. Where you can enjoy the Berber drums music while dancing around the campfire, under vast open sky of stars. Dinner and overnight in the desert camp .
7th day: Merzouga Sahara–Rissani – Erfoud – Midelt – cedars forest – Ifrane – Fes
In the last day of the 7 days tour. You wake up early morning to contemplate the beautiful sunrise in the middle of the desert. Free time for breakfast, then you return on camels to Merzouga where the driver awaits. Then we leave the desert to visit Rissani town, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani still a major trading center in the region, with a large souk lively on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. After a stroll in Rissani souk, we continue to Erfoud where we visit one of the workshops of fossilized marble.
After that, we drive along the Ziz river, we stop for a panoramic view of the Ziz valley. Free time for lunch in Midelt. Then we continue to cedars forest, where the Barbary Macaques live. Feel free to feed them while wandering in the forest. After that we visit Ifrane, famous for its low temperature, snow and the alpine-style houses. No wonder it is called the Switzerland of Morocco. Finally, we drop you off at the airport or your accommodation in Fes. End of the tour.
